- Symbolism: Red dresses are hung from trees, windows, and public spaces to symbolize the empty spaces left by missing and murdered women, girls, and 2-Spirit people
- Significance of Red: The color is believed to be seen by spirits and represents both life and the bloodshed associated with colonial violence.
