Red Dress Day

    • Students & Staff are asked to wear red to commemorate Red Dress Day
    • Purpose: The day aims to remember victims, support families, and demand action, with many calling for a national alert system for missing Indigenous individuals.
    • Symbolism: Red dresses are hung from trees, windows, and public spaces to symbolize the empty spaces left by missing and murdered women, girls, and 2-Spirit people
    • Significance of Red: The color is believed to be seen by spirits and represents both life and the bloodshed associated with colonial violence.
